The Danish Chamber of Commerce (Dansk Erhverv) and the Danish Embassy in Berlin will be organizing a special export delegation to the German capital called  “Danish Life Science Days in Berlin” on 17 – 18 May 2022. The Danish Minister for Health, Magnus Heunicke, will lead the delegation and help the participating Danish companies in engaging directly with German decision-makers, payers and health experts regarding your company’s products and health solutions for the German market. The participating Danish companies will meet national and regional German health-stakeholders as well as obtain a first-hand impression of one of the most esteemed hospitals in the world – the Charité University Hospital in Berlin.

Germany is the second-largest export market for the Danish life science-cluster. The ongoing drive in the German healthcare system to create more personalized care and better patient outcomes by way of increased digitalization constitute a tremendous opportunity for Danish exporters of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. “Danish Life Science Days in Berlin” aims to explore this opportunity through a combination of joint discussions and specialized break-out sessions that will take place at the Danish Embassy in Berlin and at Dansk Erhverv (the royal stock-exchange building) in Copenhagen.

Some of the main themes for the discussions will include how we can improve outcomes for patients with chronic illnesses, innovative ways to achieve more personalized care, effective hearing habilitation through digital solutions and how to finance innovation in modern healthcare systems. This two-day event is ideally suited for Danish life science companies that have activities in Germany or see Germany as holding great promise for continued export growth. In addition, Dansk Erhverv and the Trade Council in Germany will strive to facilitate networking opportunities for participants subject to any given corona-procedures, which may apply at the time.
