Beskrivelse
Mathias Gredal Nørvig is the Chief Executive Officer of SYBO and co-author of the book: Gaming for Good: Unlocking the Power of Gaming to Create a Better World for Us. Mathias will in his talk address the question of how to turn the immense power of gaming into a force for good? Over 3 billion people play games globally. With that kind of outreach comes a responsibility.
As one of the fastest-growing sectors of entertainment, games have the unique ability to resonate with nearly anyone, anywhere on the planet. One of the goals of Gaming for Good is to demystify gaming culture and reveal how everyone can be a gamer (especially with mobile games). With this global reach comes a massive opportunity to spread awareness and engage a global audience around the most important issues of our time.
Mathias originally joining SYBO as Managing Director in 2014 and was named CEO in 2017. He combines his management and consultant skills with philanthropic ambitions to change the world – an impact investment enthusiast with a passion for climate, water, and the future of energy and nutrition. Nørvig is a board member at SYBO, Vision Denmark, Plastic Change and Funday Games (where he serves as Chairman of the Board).
In early 2024, Nørvig additionally co-authored a new book, Gaming for Good, dissecting how games can be powerful platforms to spread awareness around and inspire action against the biggest challenges of our time.
