More than 250,000 public authorities spend approximately 2 trillion euros or 14% of the EU's GDP yearly. The legal framework for public procurement in the EU includes several directives and was last reformed in 2014.

The directives help public authorities get the most value for money when purchasing works, goods, and services. But they also play a crucial role in ensuring a transparent and competitive internal market and thus European competitiveness.

European competitiveness is threatened. Europe cannot sit back and let other countries take the lead. Action must be taken to ensure the welfare and prosperity of Europeans in the future.

Ursula von der Leyen has made it clear that public procurement must be used more strategically and activated to meet the challenges the EU is facing and Commissioner Sejournes mission letter made it clear that a revision of the procurement directives is underway.

The Danish Chamber of Commerce invites you to join us in discussing the revision of the public procurement directives and how to fulfill the political objectives without compromising competition and European competitiveness.

Stakeholders with an interest in the process of the forthcoming revision of the public procurement directives.
