Unsold textiles and footwear – ban on destruction & reporting obligations
Unsold textiles and footwear – ban on destruction & reporting obligations
Under the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), companies face new transparency and reporting obligations regarding the destruction of unsold consumer goods. In addition, the regulation introduces a ban on the destruction of certain unsold consumer goods.
The first product category subject to this ban is apparel. Given the importance of these rules for the textile sector, this webinar will focus on textiles and footwear.
During the session, we will provide an overview of the regulatory background and policy objectives, explain the scope of the rules and who they apply to, walk through the expected timelines, and highlight the key requirements.
The webinar will conclude with an open Q&A, allowing participants to raise questions and discuss practical implications.
