Insights from the European Commission on the Upcoming Public Procurement Act
Insights from the European Commission on the Upcoming Public Procurement Act
The European Commission is preparing a far-reaching reform of the EU public procurement framework. The proposed Public Procurement Act is expected to mark a significant shift in how public procurement supports Europe’s strategic objectives, including competitiveness, resilience, sustainability and industrial policy. As discussions intensify in Brussels, companies across sectors face important questions: What are the Commission’s policy objectives? How could the proposal affect access to public contracts across Europe? And what new requirements, opportunities and challenges may emerge?
This webinar offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from the European Commission on the policy thinking behind the proposal and the broader direction of EU procurement policy. The Commission will share its perspectives on the rationale for the reform, the key elements currently under discussion and how it fits into the EU’s wider agenda on competitiveness, strategic autonomy and public investment. Participants will gain early insights into one of the most important regulatory initiatives affecting public procurement and have the opportunity to engage directly with Commission representatives through a dedicated Q&A session.
