,The European Union and Japan are embarking on the world’s largest free trade agreement. The negotiations on the "EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement" were succesfully concluded on 8 December 2017, and the text is now undergoing a so-called "legal scrub" before being submitted for translation and subsequent approval by the two parties.

Dansk Erhverv, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the European Commission and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) are organizing a unique high-level conference on Thursday 12th April 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark, in order to discuss and explore the economic potential of the agreement and the new business opportunities that will emerge for European and Japanese companies in the wake of the agreement.

Among the key-note speakers at the conference will be the EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström, the Japanese Chief Negotiator on the agreement Yoichi Suzuki, Professor of Economics at the prestigious Ifo Institute in Germany, Gabriel Felbermayr, and prominent company executives from Europe and Japan, including Novo Nordisk, Airbus, Ericsson, Mizuho, NEC and J.P. Morgan.
